Update on the post: Unfortunately Marina Kofte is now closed. It was one of the places that had a real character. Yes, it was not upscale but that wasn’t the point anyway. What people liked about was it simpleness. It was a joy to wait your delicious kofte, home made french fries in their simple wood tables.
A very informal layout, yet strikingly good food… The Kofte (Meatballs) is undoubtedly delicious. It gives you the hint of the Bursa Cuisine, especially the Inegol Kofte. So, my favorite choices here are either Marina Kofte, which is a beautiful presentation of pide bread, yogurt, melted butter and delicious kofte or if you want something simpler go with Inegol Kofte.
This place is also ideal for drinking a proper lager. The Efes beer itself is served real cold, which is a good thing in summer. However the uniqueness comes with the snacks to drink the beer with. There is no other food that matches a joyful beer experience better than well fried home made french fries and this place definitely knows how to do it. A definite recommendation…
