Restaurant Swiss Chalet is a restaurant we liked very much. It has a nice cozy feel but don’t expect something spectacular in design. The food is good and the menu has a wide variety of selections but I think the focus is on fondue. I say that relying on other guests, which majority of them did have fondue equipment on table. We also joined the crowd and ordered a cheese fondue and we enjoyed it very much. I also ordered Sliced Veal Zurich style with Rosti. It was also delicious.
But what I like about this place in particular is the amazing positive mood of the service staff. The waitress that served us had this hard to beat sincerity. A cheerful, willing mood is a real winner I think. Another note to mention is the restaurant offers a good value when you compare what you get in terms of price (of course in Zermatt terms). Final words: A decent food and a good service makes this place a very good option to dine at Zermatt.
